Samir Bannout, also known as the “Lion of Lebanon,” was a legendary bodybuilder who won the 1983 Mr. Olympia title, the highest honor in the sport of bodybuilding.

Bannout was born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1955 and began lifting weights at a young age. He immigrated to the United States in the 1970s and quickly made a name for himself in the bodybuilding world.

Bannout was known for his impressive muscular size and symmetry, as well as his strong stage presence and charismatic personality. He competed in numerous bodybuilding competitions throughout the 1970s and 1980s, including the Mr. Olympia contest, the most prestigious event in the sport.
